Lewis & Clark Interpretive Trail & Visitors Center

The focus of this exciting regional Missouri River Basin Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is on the more than 300 discoveries of flora (178 plants), fauna (122 animals) and scientific discoveries made at President Thomas Jefferson's direction on their historic Corps of Discovery Journey from 1803 - 1806

Squaw Creek NWR

Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge is located in northwestern Missouri within the historic Missouri River floodplain. The 7,350-acre refuge was established in 1935 as a resting, feeding, and breeding ground for migratory birds and other wildlife. Many of the original facilities were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps and the Works Progress Administration in the late 1930

Missouri River Basin - Lewis & Clark Trail

Begins in Washington D.C. and zigzags along the eastern seaboard encompassing the states of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania; then proceeds through Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri. The trail then meanders through the great plains of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota and continues through the mountains and the valleys of Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, concluding at the Pacific Ocean.  The Lewis and Clark Trail is a cultural destination that covers over 4,600 miles, crosses four time zones, and showcases some of the most beautiful and rugged areas of America.
